About Us

Kim Teitelbaum and Moran Yitzhaky Abergel began their partnership in 2014, after meeting at Sharon Zuckerman Weiser's workshop "The Human Performer". This crucial meeting led to their first piece the duet 'ASTRATE' which happened to become the first house production of 'Kelim Choreography Center' in Bat-Yam.

Later Moran and Kim created the musical piece 'An Etude for Body & Control' and continued to create the piece 'Z-A-KICK'. They continued to  found "Folder" Performance format with Dance maker Laura Kirshenbaum.

Now days, Kim and Moran guide a performance group titled 'Second Beat' as part of 'Kelim in the Community' project.

and punk music in order to blur disciplinary boundaries and mix different crowds.

An Etude for Body & Control

"An Etude for Body & Control"- a piece for five dancers and two musicians began with a deep interest in the relationship between the body/soul and the 'Mind'.

When the concept of mind is both the physical organ itself and the culturally shaped ontological space human share.

Dancers: Carmel Bar, Nitay Juran, Yoav Admoni, Moran Yitzhaky Abergel and Kim Teitelbaum.

Musicians: Yaniv Schonfeld and Avigail Immanuel

40 min.

Primiered in 'Machol Shalem' Festival, 2015. Created while in artistic residency at RE-SEARCH.

Z-A-K ick

Z-A-K ick wishes to explore the synergy of multiple bodies through the biological prism of the 'Follicle'. The Folicle is a structure of cells in which another structure grows- it is architecture within architecture.

Corresponding with Deleuze and Guattari's concept of the 'Rhizome' this follicle can be also viewed as a metaphor for the emergence of thought or idea with a set trajectory, reminiscent of a strand of hair that breaks through the skin.

Performed by: Ayelet Avidan, Sima Guttman, Yaniv Schonfeld, Avigail Immanuel, Moran Yitzhaky Abergel and Kim Teitelbaum.

40 min.

Premiered in 'March Hare'

Festival, 2017.
Crested while in artistic residency at 'Kelim- choreographic center'.

The Second Beat

The piece is the development of  'Working tools', a research group in which we worked with people that are mentally challenged. Through the research group the base of the creation 'The Second Beat' was made methodically possible.

We wished by using materials brought by the participators to create a piece in which the audience can look into the beauty and humanity of the performers- adults that are perceived as eternal children, but that have their own wills and desires.

40 min.

Assistant: Yuval Gal (RE-SEARCH school)

Premiered as part of the dance series in 'Kelim- choreographic center'.
